Art recycle bins in Great Yarmouth

Commission won through competative tender: Our concept is to create a fleet of ‘Bottleships’, to fight for improving our environment. The ‘Bottleship’ artworks represent various shipwrecks off the Norfolk coast, an historically treacherous coastline for seafarers because of its shifting offshore sand banks combined with strong winds. We researched the maritime history of Great Yarmouth to come up with our concept of the ‘Bottleships’. The council wanted to create recycle bins as ‘artwork’in order to entice the general public to use them. On this project we are putting the final touches to public bodies, statutory agencies and stakeholders engagement proposals with the client.
